AMA KPETIGO -
Construction Contracts, Property Law, Intellectual Property,
Research and Consultancy, and head of research.
Ama was called to the
Ghana bar in October 2001 but has worked with the firm since the
summer of 2000 when she joined the research team as a student
researcher. In 2001, she did an internship with the Foundation for
International Law and Environmental Law Development (FIELD) of the
University of London where she gained more experience in research.
Her excellence earned her the position of Director by September
2002. While working in the research team, she helped to edit the
200/2001 edition of the legislative Watch and the second edition of
Business in Ghana – a Handbook on laws and Regulations. She joined
the negotiation and consultancy team in late 2001 and worked on high
value construction Law disputes, Commercial and Trade Agreements and
Environmental Law consultancy. As a member of the litigation since
2002, she has extended her scope to include property law, and
probate and administrtion.
EMEFA KATTAH -
Capital markets, International Business Law, International
Trade, Consultancy, and head of publications.
Emefa leads the
Commercial Law team of SLC. She was called to the Ghana Bar in
1998. Emefa has a masters in International Business Law and
specializes in commercial and business contracts. She is the editor
of Legislative Watch, a Journal monitoring new legislation,
amendments and repeals of old legislation passing published by SLC.
She is in charge of the Database on Ghana Law run by the Firm. She
has had extensive training in capital markets and securities at the
Ghana Stock Exchange and is a member of the Finance Law team. She
reads, speaks and writes French.

HILDA OBENG -
Family Law, Insurance, Employment and Labor, Litigation, Research.
Hilda joined the
firm in 2002 after being called to the Ghana Bar in October. From
1997 to 2000 Hilda worked as a student researcher on various
projects for the Institute of African Studies and Legal Pluralism
project of the German Technical Co-operation (GTZ). Her skills as a
researcher are exceptional and she works in the research team for
the firm’s litigation work, publications and training programs.
Hilda has also been active in court advocacy negotiations and ADR.

Avernogbor is the only part time member with SLC. He was called to
the Ghana Bar in 1993. Emmanuel has extensive experience in
Administrative Law, Labor Law, Local Government Law, Land and
Property Law in Ghana. He has worked in Litigation and Advocacy at
all levels of the Ghana Court structure.
